A. Current trends related to sustainability of community-based programs, including after school programs.

B. A six-component sustainability plan

C. Online resources

D. Practical training opportunities

Presenter: Tammy Gillespie has worked for University of Missouri Extension for nine years. She has served as the director for Missouri's Children, Youth and Families at Risk (CYFAR) during this time and has written and managed numerous federal and state grants during this time. She is a firm believer that community groups can use research-based information in practical ways to plan for program and personnel survival beyond grant funding. Tammy is a proud mother of four children, ages 5-21, and she has benefited from quality afterschool programming in Missouri.
